McDonald’s looks to refocus on value with the return of their popular 2 for $5 Mix & Match Deal, while also announcing upcoming enhancements to the chain’s $1 $2 $3 Dollar Menu in early January 2019.

McDonald’s is celebrating the return of the 2 for $5 Mix & Match Deal by introducing a new headliner to the lineup – the fresh beef Quarter Pounder with Cheese.
The revamped 2 for $5 Mix & Match Deal allows you to enjoy any combination of two select menu items for 5 bucks:
- Fresh Beef Quarter Pounder with Cheese
- Big Mac
- Filet-O-Fish
- 10-piece Chicken McNuggets
(The Quarter Pounder with Cheese replaces the Classic Chicken Sandwich)
Just take note that as a result, McDonald’s is discontinuing the $6 Classic Meal Deal – which made its debut on November 1, 2018.
$1 $2 $3 Dollar Menu Enhancements
Additionally, McDonald’s is enhancing their $1 $2 $3 Dollar Menu in early January 2019 to allow local owner/operators greater flexibility in customizing the value menu with food and beverages that reflect local fan preferences. While McDonald’s didn’t offer menu specifics, it’s probably fair to assume that local franchisees will populate the $1 $2 $3 Dollar Menu with a mix of items that resonate well with locals.
