Chick-fil-A is testing a new side powered by the superfood kale at select locations in Texas, Iowa and Florida.

The new Kale Crunch Side features a blend of curly kale and green cabbage, topped with salted almonds and tossed in an apple dijon dressing.
The chain is testing the new vegan and vegetarian-approved low-calorie side at select locations in Orlando, Daytona, Space Coast and Gainesville, Florida; Eastern Iowa; and Tyler-Longview, Texas for a limited time.
The Kale Crunch Side is available in small and large serving sizes with prices starting at $1.85. Both size options clock in at less than 150 calories including toppings. You can also find Kale Crunch Side as a tray option on the Chick-fil-A catering menu.
The company says it will evaluate customer feedback following the test to determine if the new side will be added to menus nationwide.
