Dairy Queen is giving their popular chicken strips a new dancing partner with the introduction of the new Chicken & Waffles Basket.

Dairy Queen’s take on Chicken & Waffles features the chain’s original all white meat crispy strips served with authentic warm Belgian waffles, crispy fries and a side of syrup for drizzling. As DQ fans will know, the Chicken Strip Basket normally comes with Texas toast, and your choice of dipping sauce, or country gravy, etc.
The new Chicken & Waffles Basket is set to officially arrive at participating locations on Monday, April 1, 2019, however, some locations are serving the limited-time offering now. I would suggest checking with your local DQ to confirm if they plan to launch the new basket ahead of the official debut date.
While prices will vary by location, you can expect to pay around $6.19 for a four-piece Chicken & Waffles Basket.
New Cupfections and Cake Shakes
Chew Boom has also learned that April will see participating DQ locations serving new Cupfections and new Cake Shakes.
Cupfections are basically pumped-up sundaes made with the brand’s soft serve paired with cake, brownies, fruit, sauces and other toppings, all served in a cup. They’ll be available in two varieties, Summer Berry Cake and Brownie made with Oreo Cookie.
Meanwhile, new Cake Shakes feature a shake with cake blended in. Cake Shakes will also be available in two flavors, Chocolate and Strawberry, with prices starting at around $2.99.
The Strawberry Cake Shake features real strawberries blended with milk and creamy DQ vanilla soft serve, hand-spun with vanilla layer cake then garnished with thick pieces of cake and real strawberry syrup.
The Chocolate Cake Shake consists of a chocolate topping blended with milk and creamy vanilla soft serve, hand-spun with vanilla layer cake then garnished with thick pieces of vanilla layer cake and choco chunks.
New Blizzard Menu
DQ also plans kick off April 2019 with the debut of its new summer Blizzard menu, featuring new flavors like, Brownie Dough and Caramel Cannonball alongside four returning fan-favorites from past menus.
