Taco Bell’s version of the Mexican donut gets a Tex-Mex makeover by starting with a circular churro that’s deep-fried to a crisp golden brown and finished with a dusting of cinnamon sugar.

The chain is set to start testing the new treat at select locations in Kansas City, Missouri beginning Thursday, April 4, 2019, where you’ll be able to get them during breakfast hours for a buck each. The market test is expected to run for about four or five weeks.

Donuts in one form or another have been catching fire lately with fast food burger joints. Just last month McDonald’s launched Donut Sticks, Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s reintroduced Froot Loops Mini Donuts, and in January, Burger King brought back Funnel Cake Fries.
