Starting today, Monday, April 1, 2019 (yes, on April Fool’s Day of all days) the meatless Impossible Whopper is being flame-grilled for a limited-time at 59 exclusive Burger King locations in and around the St. Louis area.

The Impossible Whopper features a flame-grilled, plant-based patty topped with sliced tomato, lettuce, mayo, ketchup, pickles, and sliced white onions on a toasted sesame seed bun.

The limited-time offering makes Burger King the first coast-to-coast fast food restaurant to serve the plant-based meat from Impossible Foods, the maker of the Impossible Burger.

Impossible Whopper Surprise

In advance of the official Impossible Whopper test, Burger King surprised some unsuspecting loyal fans by serving them the Impossible Burger instead of the classic Whopper. The brand filmed their reactions, which you can check out in video below.
