On tonight’s special episode of Bar Rescue, Jon Taffer doesn’t stray far from home as he takes a break from rescuing bars in danger of going under in favor of helping UNLV hospitality students prepare for what’s being described as a big event.

In the teaser clip from tonight’s episode, Taffer says he wants to “watch these students” to see where their “strengths and weaknesses lie, where their passions lie, and figure out where we have to elevate their skills and abilities to be prepared for this event.
While the “event” isn’t identified in the teaser clip, the smart money is on the UNLVino Grand Tasting event set for April 13, 2019 at the Mirage Events Center in Vegas.
But you’ll have to watch tonight’s special episode to find out for sure.
