After a successful test market at select locations in Michigan earlier this year, Qdoba announced today that it has decided to add plant-based Impossible protein to more than 730 locations nationwide by May 28, 2019.
The chain said it will initially roll out Impossible’s plant-based protein to select locations in Brooklyn, Denver and Los Angeles beginning April 23, with wider availabilty to follow.
Qdoba’s version of Impossible “meat” is seasoned in-restaurant with a blend of tomatoes, garlic, smoked chiles and paprika, all mixed with diced red onions.
Once available, you’ll be able to create your own entrée with Impossible or try one of the chain’s chef-inspired creations:
Qdoba Impossible Bowl: Cilantro-lime white rice and black beans are layered with three-cheese Queso, pico de gallo, guacamole and seasoned Impossible.
Qdoba Impossible Taco: Wrapped in a warm corn tortilla, Impossible is enhanced with red onions, cilantro and salsa verde.
