Filomena’s Italian Kitchen & Market is owned and operated by chef Linda Johnsen. Filomena’s specializes in classic Old-World Italian cuisine based on family recipes Linda grew up with in South Philadelphia.
As per the episode synopsis, Filomena’s has a clean kitchen, an organized dining room and allegedly good food, but the fiery owner hasn’t been able to pay herself one dime since the restaurant opened back in 2013. Robert has just two days and $10,000 to identify the real problem and turn Filomena’s around.
The makeover at Filomena’s took place in February 2019. Robert took to Twitter with a call for local volunteers to join him at Filomena’s and help with the makeover.
