Burger King Sweden is so confident that their two new plant-based burgers are indistinguishable from the taste of real meat that they’re challenging fans to try to tell the difference by ordering from the new 50/50 menu.
To drive home the point, fans that order a Whopper or a Crispy Chicken Sandwich from the new 50/50 menu may receive a new plant-based Rebel Whopper or a new plant-based Rebel Chicken King. There’s just no visible way to tell what you got, and BK is betting your taste buds can’t tell the difference either.
But if you absolutely must know what you just ate, you can scan the 50/50 box in the Burger King app to find out. But you’ll have to guess before you get the answer.
The Rebel Whopper and Rebel Chicken King debuted in Sweden last week, and will soon launch in other countries across Europe.
No word from Burger King as to whether or not the chain plans to launch the Rebel Chicken King in the US. Stay tuned…
Back in April, Burger King indicated the chain plans to launch the plant-based Impossible Whopper nationwide by the end of 2019. It’s currently available in select US markets.
