Single mom Sheila Lankford opened the McLanks Family Restaurant (Facebook Page) back in 2017 with the help of her five adult children. The restaurant reportedly lost more than $75,000 last year.

As per the episode synopsis: “The restaurant is run by a single mother and her five adult children who fight constantly, and the tension is tearing both the family and the restaurant apart. It’s up to Robert to fix their relationship and get them to work together before McLanks closes for good.”

The episode, “A Family Restaurant at War” was filmed in early May 2019. The restaurant is hosting a watch party in celebration of the episode premier on Food Network.

In an interview with local media this week, Sheila Lankford told the Missourian that everything in the episode description is true. She went on to say that business has been better since Irvine and his crew came in.

We know you all are as excited as we are about our restaurant impossible renovation. We will be open for dinner tomorrow evening at 5pm.
