On tonight’s episode of Bar Rescue, Jon Taffer and crew are in Richardson, Texas to rescue the Harbor Point Club & Grill. The Harbor Point Club & Grill is a neighborhood pub and sports bar that features a hearty bar menu along with pool, shuffleboard, darts and karaoke.

Owned by business partners John Willis and Bert Novey (Facebook Page), the pair are reportedly in debt to the tune of $400,000, and both are in danger of losing their homes if Taffer is unable to bring the bar back from the brink.

As part of the rescue effort, Taffer decided to change the name of Harbor Point Club & Grill to JB Taco. The rescue included a makeover and a new menu featuring 51 different taco varieties.

Under New Ownership

A lot of things have changed since the late March 2019 Bar Rescue episode was filmed, including a change of ownership and a second new name. Rockets Sports Bar & Grill (new name since May 2019) is reportedly doing very well after John and Bert decided to sell and move on.

As per Google Review comments:

We went after bar rescue came and it was supposed to be JB taco with the largest taco menu in Texas.  They didn’t have anything prepped to make any of the 51 tacos on the menu… So she gave us a menu with four choices including, cheeseburger, hot dog, grilled cheese, and chicken wings… With potato chips.  We liked the old menu, but they hardly had anything prepped before either.

Under new ownership “rockets” Is a awesome place to stop in a grab a quick drink or bite to eat. The staff is friendly the food is scrumptious and they have plenty of great entertainment. From the best shuffle board tables I’ve seen to billards , darts, even unique games like chess they have it all. They lots of great music karaoke several nights a week and live music. 9 big screen TVs have all the sports on as well.Great fun environment.

Since the new owners have taken over (thank God). The place has changed immensely.  People are friendly, smiling and sociable.  Karaoke with Jay rocks.  The owners are always present making sure everything is great.  It’s a real fun place now.
