Subway Unveils New Plant-Based Beyond Meatball Marinara Sub

Subway is partnering with Beyond Meat to test new and exclusive plant-based protein options, starting with the new Beyond Meatball Marinara sub next month in 685 participating locations in the US and Canada.

Inspired by the brand’s fan-favorite Meatball Marinara sandwich, the new Beyond Meatball Marinara sub features the first-ever Beyond Meatball created exclusively for Subway, all drenched in the brand’s classic marinara sauce, and sprinkled with grated parmesan cheese on toasted bread.

Subway says the new plant-based meatball sub offers the same flavor as the chain’s traditional meatball sub with 24 grams of protein per six-inch sub.

As part of the unique partnership, both brands plan to explore even more new plant-based protein offerings in the coming months.

The Beyond Meatball Marinara will be available for a limited time only at select Subway test locations starting in September 2019.
