Beginning Wednesday, August 21, McDonald’s will be starting a chain reaction of kindness with the launch of “McCafé It Forward,” a three-day, pay-it-forward program designed to spread goodness one free, golden cup of coffee at a time.

Inspired by the kindness McDonald’s customers have shown one another – like picking up the tab for the car next in the drive-thru or with simple acts like holding the door open – “McCafé It Forward” is rewarding good people with a good cup of coffee, and asking them to keep the good going.
On Wednesday, the chain will drop 500 golden “McCafé It Forward” cards across the country to local do-gooders and coffee lovers known for demonstrating kindness in their communities. Each swipe of the card can be exchanged for one free small cup of McCafé Premium Roast Coffee or Iced Coffee at participating McDonald’s nationwide until August 23, 2019.
Those initial golden card recipients can then pay it forward by passing the card along to a friend, a relative, or a complete stranger.
Fans are being invited to follow along as the cards spread kindness throughout the country by visiting BeABrewGooder.com during the program.
Additionally, McDonald’s is encouraging fans to nominate someone in their life who they believe has done something good for a chance to win McCafé for Life through the McCafé Be A Brew-Gooder sweepstakes from August 26 through September 29, 2019.
Nominations can be submitted via Twitter, Instagram, or an entry form via the McDonald’s App or BeABrewGooder.com. Winners will be selected in a random drawing.
