Taco Bell’s iconic chalupa gets a cheesy upgrade with the nationwide debut of the new Toasted Cheddar Chalupa on September 12, 2019.

Described by Taco Bell as “this year’s biggest innovations,” the Toasted Cheddar Chalupa features 6-month aged sharp cheddar cheese baked right onto the outside of the shell to create a crispy blanket of flavor and texture.

Starting at $2.49, the new Toasted Cheddar Chalupa features your choice of seasoned beef, chicken or steak, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, grated cheddar cheese, and reduced-fat sour cream.

You’ll also be able to get it as part of a $5 Box, paired with two Crunchy Tacos and a medium soda for 5 bucks.

New Bacon Club Toasted Cheddar Chalupa Test

Additionally,and also starting on September 12, Taco Bell fans Charlotte, North Carolina can try the new Bacon Club Toasted Cheddar Chalupa, which takes the Toasted Cheddar Chalupa shell and fills it with grilled chicken, avocado ranch sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, and bits of bacon. This cheesy twist on a club sandwich will be testing for a limited time at participating locations for $3.29.

The Toasted Cheddar Chalupa will be available at participating locations nationwide beginning on September 12, 2019. Prices may vary by location.

Taco Bell also announced the Toasted Cheddar Chalupa will be available available for a limited time in Aruba, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama and Puerto Rico.
