Shake Shack adds a trendy new flavor to its shake lineup with the introduction of the limited-edition Cascara Shake.

The Cascara Shake is made with vanilla frozen custard blended with cascara syrup and chocolate sprinkles. The shake features notes of cherry and red currant.
My local Shake is offering limited-edition Cascara Shakes for $5.99 each, and you can find them at participating locations for a limited time.
Cascara is basically the dried fruit, or “husk” of the coffee plant – commonly used in teas and other beverages. Despite being harvested from the coffee plant, drinks made with cascara feature sweet, fruity taste and taste nothing like coffee.
