McDonald's Tests New Beyond Meat Plant-Based Burger In Canada

McDonald’s announced today that it will be running a 12-week test of it’s new Beyond Meat plant-based burger at 28 select locations in Southern Ontario, Canada beginning September 30, 2019.

The new P.L.T. (Plant. Lettuce. Tomato.) features a Beyond Meat plant-based patty crafted exclusively by McDonald’s to “deliver the iconic taste customers know and love.”

“We’ve been working on our recipe and now we’re ready to hear feedback from our customers,” said Ann Wahlgren, vice president of global menu strategy.

“This test allows us to learn more about real-world implications of serving the P.L.T., including customer demand and impact on restaurant operations,” added Wahlgren.

The P.L.T. will be carry a suggested price of $6.49 CAD, or about $4.90 USD.
