The Nacho Cheese Crunch Burger features a crunch fillet (chicken), dunked in nacho cheese sauce and topped with a slice of cheese, cheese-flavoured nacho chips and mayo on a split-top bun.
The new cheesy chicken sandwich is available on its own for a suggested price of R34,90 (US $2.31) or as part of a meal served with a side of small fries and small drink for R39,90 (US $2.64).
The relatively low prices offered at KFC in South Africa caught my attention, so I explored the menu further to confirm it wasn’t a typo, and here’s what I discovered:
An eight-piece feast featuring eight pieces of Original Recipe chicken, served with 3 Mini Loaves of bread and two saucy gravies goes for R134,90, which converts to US $8.93. Meanwhile, a 15 piece bucket of Original Recipe chicken goes for R199,90, or about US $13.24, while a 21 piece bucket goes for the equivalent of US $17.55.
