Brian and Shelli Buchanan opened Garrett’s Mill and Brewing Co. in February 2018. According to the episode synopsis, “Shelli is in over her head after her husband had to return to his trucking job to keep the business afloat. They have a $500,000 payment coming due, and the historic mill is just months away from grinding to a halt.”
The makeover took place back in later October 2019.
Robert Irvine told the Record-Courier that Garrett’s Mill and Brewing Company was a special restaurant.
“It was such an amazing building with such great history,” he said. “This is one of my most favorite episodes of all time just for the location and the property and building.”
Irvine also revealed the owners were dealing with a variety of issues with staffing, management and more, including a chef who was eventually fired.
