KFC looks to reignite the chicken sandwich wars by testing a new, more premium KFC Chicken Sandwich at select locations in Orlando, Florida through June 21, 2020.

Compared to the brand’s current sandwich, the new KFC Chicken Sandwich boasts a 20 percent larger, double-breaded, Extra Crispy chicken filet on a new buttery brioche bun, along with crispier and thicker crinkle-cut pickles, and the Colonel’s real mayo – now available in your choice of classic or spicy.
The new KFC Chicken Sandwich is available on its own for a suggested price of $3.99, or as part of a combo meal with a side of Secret Recipe Fries and a medium drink, for $6.99.
As far as improving on the current sandwich, KFC tested pickles with eight variations of thickness and brines before deciding on the current pickle. As for the new brioche bun, KFC collaborated with six different bakeries and tested more than ten formula revisions in order to find the right one to “hug the larger-than-ever filet in just the right way.”
The new KFC Chicken Sandwich can be found as select KFC locations in Orlando, Florida until June 21, 2020.
