The news comes via the Spangler Candy Company, who acquired the Necco Wafers brand after the factory that made the iconic wafers closed back in 2018.

Created in 1847, Necco Wafers return in eight flavors: lemon (yellow), lime (green), orange (orange), clove (light purple), cinnamon (white), wintergreen (pink), licorice (dark grey) and chocolate (brown).

According to Spangler, seven of the eight flavors were designed to identically match the originals, while chocolate wafers offer a richer cocoa flavor thanks to a minor improvement in the cooking process.

Necco Wafers will start rolling out to major drugstores and pharmacies in early June, followed by a larger segment of major retailers throughout the summer.
