Hatch green chiles are back on the menu at Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers with the return of the Hatch Green Chile Steakburger and Hot Dog.

Grown in Hatch, New Mexico, the iconic green chiles are only in season for a few weeks of the year, making them a highly prized commodity among chile aficionados. Freddy’s prepares their Hatch green chiles by mixing them with onions and cooking them up on a grill.
While Hatch chiles can be added to any item on the menu for a small upcharge, Freddy’s is celebrating their return by welcoming back a pair of fan-favorite Hatch chile-inspired offerings:
The Hatch Green Chile Steakburger consists of two steakburger patties layered with New Mexico Hatch green chiles, grilled onions and mustard on a toasted bun.
The Hatch Green Chile Hot Dog featured an all-beef hot dog with grilled Hatch green chiles, grilled onions and mustard all on a toasted bun.
Key Lime Pie Concrete
Additionally, Freddy’s is welcoming back Key Lime Pie Concrete – which is made with creamy frozen custard blended with a slice of key lime pie topped with whipped cream and sprinkled with graham cracker crumbles.
Seasonal menu items can be found at participating Freddy’s locations through September 2020.
