Originally from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, where she managed a local Keg restaurant, Brenda Lambrecht followed her dream to Phoenix in the mid-1990s where she opened the Armadillo Grill with a friend in 1997. Five years later, Brenda bought her partner out to become the sole proprietor and manager of the Armadillo. During the process, Brenda borrowed a substantial amount of money from her father.

Unfortunately, Brenda’s past experience in the restaurant business did not translate into success, and today she finds herself the owner of a failing business that’s in disrepair, in need of a deep kitchen cleaning, $450,000 in debt, and losing $20,000 a month. Desperately wanting to pay her aging father back the money she borrowed, Brenda will need a miracle. Enter Jon Taffer.

Tonight’s episode, “The Mother of All Failures” was filmed back in mid-March 2020. During the rescue, Jon changed the name of the Armadillo Grill to Brenda’s Inferno. The establishment is still open and Brenda decided to keep the new name.
