Bojangles is testing new fried chicken alongside new Cheesy Biscuits at select test locations in the Nashville, Tennessee area.

The “New Recipe” bone-in Fried Chicken is described as being crispier and crunchier than the brand’s signature fried chicken.
Participating locations are also testing new Cheesy Biscuits. The new biscuits are made-from-scratch with the brand’s buttermilk biscuit recipe, mixed with cheddar cheese and a secret blend of spices.
As part of the test, new Cheesy Biscuits are served with all dinner and combo meals in select test markets. Plain buttermilk biscuits are also available in the test markets simply by asking for them when placing any order.
Fellow Chewer Matthew found both new menu items at his local Bojangles in the Nashville area. Matthew tells Chew Boom that the “New Recipe” fried chicken “is crispier and juicier than their old recipe.”
Matthew also tried the new Cheesy Biscuits. He was quite impressed, telling Chew Boom that they “had a strong flavor of garlic and the cheese had caramelized making the exterior crispy while the inside was still a pillowy soft.”
He hopes Bojangles makes the new biscuits a permanent menu item.
