McDonald’s is celebrating the 2020 holiday season by giving away the favorite menu items of classic holiday characters like Frosty the Snowman, Buddy the Elf and the Grinch, every day of the week from Monday, December 14, through Thursday, December 24, 2020.

Starting Monday, December 14, McDonald’s will feature a different holiday character each day and give away the menu item they crave for free with a $1 minimum purchase, exclusively through the brand’s mobile app.
In addition to Frosty, Buddy and the Grinch, the deals also feature characters from classic movies like Christmas Vacation, Gremlins, and Die Hard.
Here’s a breakdown of the daily in-app holiday deals:
- December 14: The Griswolds – Get a free Double Cheeseburger with any purchase of $1 or more.
- December 15: The Abominable Snow Monster – Get a free Big Mac with a $1 minimum purchase.
- December 16: The Grinch – Get a free Egg McMuffin with any purchase of $1 or more.
- December 17: John McClane – Get a free McDouble with a $1 minimum purchase.
- December 18: Rudolph – Get a free medium Fries with a $1 minimum purchase.
- December 19: Gizmo – Get a free 6-piece order of McNuggets with any purchase of $1 or more.
- December 20: Buddy the Elf – Get free Hotcakes with a $1 minimum purchase.
- December 21: Scrooge – Get free any size hot or iced coffee when you break the bank and grudgingly spend at least $1.
- December 22: Frosty the Snowman – Get a free any size McFlurry with a $1 minimum purchase.
- December 23: Frank Costanza and the rest of us – get a free Bakery Item (Cinnamon Roll, Apple Fritter, or Blueberry Muffin) with any order of $1 or more.
- December 24: Santa Claus – Get a free 2-pack or 3-pack Chocolate Chip Cookies. No minimum purchase necessary.
Aside from the free Chocolate Chip Cookies on December 24, all offers require a minimum $1 purchase in the brand’s App and will be activated through Mobile Order and Pay.
