Panda Express has been spotted selling new Shanghai Ribs at select locations.

Shanghai Ribs feature pork ribs that are wok-tossed in a savory sweet, tangy glaze, and topped with sesame seeds.
You can add five Shanghai Ribs to any entree as a premium option for an additional $1.25.
YouTube reviewer and fellow Chewer Darrel Dupit spotted the new ribs in the Chicagoland area. Darrel had to check a few Panda Express locations in the Chicago area before he was able to find a restaurant offering the new ribs.
While not confirmed, it would appear that Shanghai Ribs are being offered as part of a limited test market. I’m also aware of one other sighting in Southern California.

Ribs aren’t exactly new at Panda Express, they previously offered limited-time Chinese Spare Ribs about 5 years ago. When available, Chinese Spare Ribs featured marinated and slow-cooked pork ribs wok-fired in Chinese BBQ sauce.
