In response to fan-demand, potatoes will be returning to Taco Bell on March 11, 2021, the company announced today.
Potatoes will be available as part of the Spicy Potato Soft Taco and Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes.
When potatoes return, fans will be able to enjoy the Spicy Potato Soft Taco for a suggested price of $1, while Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes will be available for $1.49, at participating locations nationwide.
Fans will also be able to substitute AVA-certified vegan potato bites for any protein on Taco Bell’s menu.
Potatoes were initially removed from menus last year as part of Taco Bell’s menu simplification efforts to make room for new innovations while making ordering easier and faster as business shifted to the drive-thru.
Beyond Meat Partnership
Additionally, Taco Bell also revealed it is teaming up with Beyond Meat to create an innovative new plant-based protein that will be tested in the next year. This will be Taco Bell’s first foray into plant-based meat category in the US.
The move is part of the brand’s continued commitment to vegetarian fans.
