The Cravetarian Taco features a proprietary plant-based protein made from a pea/chickpea blend, plus shredded cheddar cheese, lettuce, diced tomatoes, and reduced-fat sour cream in a crunchy corn shell.

Fans can also add or swap the seasoned plant-based protein in their favorites from chalupas to burritos and everything in between.

The taco itself is priced at $2.19, while substituting the seasoned plant-based protein will be offered at no extra cost during the test.

It’s also worth noting that Taco Bell’s proprietary plant-based meat alternative is AVA-certified vegan.

The new protein is available exclusively at the Taco Bell located at 14042 Red Hill Ave. in Tustin, California.
