Papa John’s is celebrating National Bitcoin Pizza Day by giving away 10,000 pizza slices in the form of whole, large bitcoin-inspired pizzas at their Jacksonville, Florida locations from 11:00 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, May 22, 2021.

As part of the celebration, the first 50 customers who walk into each Jacksonville Papa John’s location and ask for the Bitcoin Pizza Deal will get a free, bitcoin-inspired large pizza from 11:00 a.m. to Noon.
For those not familiar with the backstory, on May 22, 2010 Laszlo Hanyecz infamously paid 10,000 Bitcoins to have two Papa John’s pizzas delivered from a Papa John’s located in Jacksonville, Florida. Today, that would amount to a $613 million pizza order, based on last week’s record breaking Bitcoin price.
