According to the episode synopsis, when Robert arrives at J’s, he finds a pair of owners (Louis and Jeff), just months away from losing everything, including their friendship of 40 years. Robert is tasked with teaching the pair how to run a restaurant and help mend their relationship.

The makeover happened back in January 2021.

About a month after the makeover, J’s “had to close” unexpectedly after the “show” came to “do an unexpected update.”

“Sorry we had to close for dinner tonight. The show came to do an unexpected update! All I can say. We will be back open at 1030 am Monday.”

The following message was posted on J’s Facebook page on January 27, 2021:

“Come on in and see the new J’s! Chef Robert was tough but I enjoyed every minute of it! Come check out the new menu items added! We still have our menu just added what Chef taught us.”
