Austin-based Torchy’s Tacos is teaming up with four-time Grammy-nominated psychedelic soul band Black Pumas for the release of a special-edition Black Pumas Taco at select locations in the Austin, Texas area from October 1 through October 10, 2021.

The launch coincides with the Black Pumas’ two performances at the Austin City Limits Music Festival, where the band is set to perform both Fridays during the festival. The festival itself runs two weekends from October 1-3 and from October 8-10, 2021.
The Black Pumas Taco features smoked beef brisket, corn relish, guajillo onion strings, BBQ sauce, chipotle sauce and fresh cilantro, served on a new blue corn tortilla.
Fans can purchase the Black Pumas Taco for $5.95, along with the Black Pumas Stay Gold Hoppy Pale Ale from 4th Tap Brewing which will be available for $4.50 at the following select Torchy’s locations in Austin:
- Northshore – 110 San Antonio Street, Unit 120, Austin TX 78701
- South Congress – 1822 South Congress Avenue, Austin TX 78704. Beer not available at this location
- South Lamar – 3005 South Lamar Boulevard, D-116, Austin TX 78704
Additionally, $1 from every taco sold will be donated to the Health Alliance of Austin Musicians (HAAM), an organization that provides access to affordable healthcare for Austin’s low-income, working musicians, with a focus on prevention and wellness.
