Szechuan Sauce is back at McDonald’s for a very limited time beginning today – March 31, 2022 – while supplies last.

The fan-favorite sauce is available exclusively on the McDonald’s App for free when selecting it as a dipping sauce option with the purchase of the brand’s Chicken McNuggets. You can also purchase up to five packets of Szechuan Sauce a la carte.
McDonald’s iconic Szechuan Sauce offers a savory and slightly sweet flavor profile with hints of soy, garlic, ginger and mild vinegar notes.
For its 2022 return, Szechuan Sauce is available in limited-edition packaging with five different golden foil designs that spell out “Szechuan.”
It’s also worth noting that Szechuan Sauce has only returned three other times in the past 24 years. It was last available back in February 2018 when 20 million packets were made available with a qualifying purchase.
According to McDonald’s, Szechuan Sauce will be available for “just a few days.”
