Patrick Crowne and his then-wife Mariely opened The Forge Irish Pub in 2019 to great success – bringing in more than $1 million in sales in their first year. However, when the pandemic hit in 2020, things took a turn for the worse and the bar reportedly lost $600,000. The financial stress took a toll on Patrick’s mental health, business and ultimately ended his marriage. Despite filing for divorce in October 2021, Patrick and Mariely still work together at the bar, but the cracks in their relationship have spilled over to the bar.

According to Patrick, the bar is a month away from shutting down unless Jon can turn the bar around and fix Patrick and Mariely’s working relationship.

The makeover happened back in March 2022 and as part of the rebranding, Jon decided to change the name of The Forge Irish Pub to The Crowne Irish Pub in honor of Patrick’s family name. The bar still goes by the new name at the time of publication.
