In 2021, Ed and Valerie Komperda purchased Colorado Cork & Keg with $60,000 from Ed’s savings account. However, the pair have no experience in the bar industry and quickly learned that owning a bar isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. To make matters worse, Ed’s priorities are mainly focused on the bar’s pool tables and drinking with his customers, leaving the business more than $30,000 in debt, and losing $4,000 per month.
During the rescue, which happened back in May 2022, Jon decided to change the name of the Colorado Cork & Keg to Valerie’s Brewhouse.
