Founded by Ori Zohar and Ethan Frisch, Burlap & Barrel partners directly with smallholder farmers to source spices that have never been available in the US before, while helping improve the livelihoods of their partners in the field. Burlap & Barrel’s spices are harvested by hand, dried naturally, grown organically whenever possible, and “packed with flavor.”

In addition to offering high-quality, flavorful spices, the company is also on a mission to end inequality and exploitation in food systems that disenfranchise skilled farmers by connecting smallholder farmers to high-value markets, educating consumers about the impact of product traceability on human rights, sourcing unique spices and other foods with terroir that are grown organically and sustainably using traditional techniques.

To celebrate the brand’s appearance on the show, Burlap & Barrel is offering a special Shark Tank Collection, where they’re offering a 4-spice set for $45.99, or a 7-spice set for $71.99.

The 4-spice set includes every spice that the Sharks tasted:

  • Royal Cinnamon (1.8 oz glass jar)
  • Wild Mountain Cumin (1.5 oz glass jar)
  • Black Lime (2.8 oz glass jar)
  • Zanzibar Black Peppercorns (1.7 oz grinder-top jar)

The 7-spice set includes everything above, plus three more essential spices:

  • Toasted Onion Powder (2.9 oz glass jar)
  • Smoked Pimentón Paprika (1.8 oz glass jar)
  • Flowering Hyssop Thyme (0.8 oz glass jar)

The company offers free delivery on orders of $45 or more.
