Fans no longer need to ask Krystal to “bring back the old fries,” as the fast-food chain today announced it has heard the feedback from fans and is launching new and improved fries starting this month.

Featuring a delicate balance of crispiness on the outside and a fluffy baked potato texture on the inside, the skin-on fries are no longer batter coated, resulting in an enhanced and rich potato flavor.
According to Krystal, the new fries are cut to the perfect size, deep fried until golden brown, and served hot and crispy with just the right amount of salt.
The new fries began rolling out at select locations in May and will be available systemwide by early June 2023.
To celebrate the launch of the new fries, Krystal is offering a Fry-yay special where fans can score a free small fry with any online or mobile app purchase of $5 or more on Fridays in June starting June 9, using promo code “FRYYAY.”
