According to the episode synopsis, when Jon arrives at the Firehouse Sports Pub, he confronts an owner (Dave Olsen) “with excuses for everything.”

Owner Dave – a former electrical technician – used his retirement savings to open the Firehouse Sports Pub back in 2008. The firehouse theme was inspired by Dave’s friends and his little brother, who just happens to be a fireman. Unfortunately for Dave, the Firehouse Sports Pub has never made any money, and when combined with Dave’s lack of experience in the bar business, he was forced to go back into construction to ensure he could keep the lights on.

As a result of being an absent owner, the bar is reportedly losing over $3,000 a month, with Dave in debt to the tune of $300,000.

During the rescue, which happened back in the summer of 2022, Jon decided to change the name of Firehouse Sports Pub to Dave’s Firehouse.
