On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina is showcasing its new 2023 summer menu featuring its Culinary and Mixology Competition winning items, including the new Texas Grilled Burrito, Mexican Slaw and more.

The third annual competition was open to all On The Border team members as a way to inspire creativity and engage employees.

Here’s a closer look at the winning items:

  • Texas Grilled Burrito: Texas-sized burrito filled with beef brisket, fries, mixed cheese, On The Border’s Signature Queso, jalapeño-BBQ sauce, pickled jalapeños, and pickled red onions – created by Saul Alonso from West Indy, Ind.
  • Mexican Slaw: Made in-house with sliced cabbage, toasted corn, diced red onions, pickled jalapeños, and tossed in a sweet & tangy dressing – created by Stacy Ramirez from Grandville, Mich.
  • Blue Island Cooler: Bacardí Tropical Rum, blue curaçao, Coco Reàl, pineapple juice, and fresh citrus sour topped with Starry lemon-lime soda – created by Mixology Contest Winner, Kayla Takens from Holland, Mich.

You can find all three items at participating On The Border locations nationwide for a limited time.
