McDonald’s today announced it is adding two new sauces to its menu with the introduction of new Mambo Sauce and new Sweet & Spicy Jam Sauce starting October 9, 2023.

Here’s a closer look at the new sauces:
- Sweet & Spicy Jam Sauce: A jammy red pepper sauce with a tongue-numbing Szechuan peppercorn kick and extra heat from cayenne pepper – finished with apple cider vinegar.
Representing the first-ever breakfast-inspired dipping sauce to hit US restaurants, McDonald’s recommends pairing Sweet & Spicy Jam with: Sausage McMuffin with Egg, Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit, Hash Browns, Chicken McNuggets, McCrispy, World Famous Fries.
- Mambo Sauce: A tomato-based, sweet, spicy and vinegary sauce inspired by the regional Washington, D.C. area sauce staple.
McDonald’s recommends dialing up the flavor by adding Mambo Sauce to your: Quarter Pounder with Cheese, Hash Browns, Chicken McNuggets, McCrispy, World Famous Fries.
McDonald’s initially tested Mambo Sauce at select locations in Dallas, Atlanta and the Washington, D.C. area back in December 2021.
