Arriving just in time for Halloween, Burger King unveils the new Nightmare King Sandwich – available at participating locations starting October 22, 2018.

The Nightmare King Sandwich features a quarter-pound flame-grilled beef patty along with a white meat crispy chicken fillet, melted American cheese, thick cut bacon, creamy mayo, and onions on a glazed green sesame seed bun.
You’ll be able to find the new Halloween-inspired sandwich at participating locations for a limited time beginning Monday, October 22 for a suggested price of $6.39. It should be around until November 1 – while supplies last.
Nightmare Inducing Sandwich
Burger King says its new Halloween sandwich is “clinically proven to induce nightmares.”
To put that theory to the test, the brand says it partnered with Paramount Trials and Florida Sleep & Neuro Diagnostic Services, Inc. to conduct a scientific sleep study involving 100 participants who ate the Nightmare King before they went to bed.
In a news release, Burger King said doctors tracked various signals from the sleeping subjects including their heart rate, brain activity and breath. A group of doctors and scientists identified whether the individuals had vivid dreams.
“According to previous studies, 4% of the population experiences nightmares in any given night” said Dr. Jose Gabriel Medina, a specialized somnologist and the study’s lead doctor. “But, after eating the Nightmare King, the data obtained from the study indicated that the incidence of nightmares increased by 3.5 times.”
