Popeyes looks to disrupt the chicken sandwich category with the introduction of what could be a real game changer in the highly competitive fast food space.

The fried chicken chain’s new Chicken Sandwich is slowly rolling out in two varieties: Classic and Spicy.
Both versions feature a thick, all-white meat marinated chicken breast that’s buttermilk battered and served on toasted brioche with sliced pickles for a suggested price of $3.99. The Classic version comes with mayo while the Spicy version gets its kick of heat from a spicy mayo sauce.
While the new sandwich has already been spotted at select Popeyes locations, I’m told wider availability will begin on Monday, May 27, 2019 and continue throughout summer.
