Well, a Chicago woman apparently had a problem understanding that concept. So much so that her disagreement over the meaning of all-you-can-eat resulted in punches being thrown and charges being laid.

Natasha West, 27, was at a Denny’s in the Chicago suburb of Oak Lawn, where she ordered the $4 all-you-can-eat pancakes. Oak Lawn police say when she started to share her pancakes with friends, a waitress told her that sharing wasn’t a part of the deal.

That’s when the situation went to syrup. West allegedly cursed at the waitress and threw several punches (but missed). West and her friends left the restaurant without paying the bill, and an angered West reportedly kicked a door several times on her way out.

Police later caught up with the group and returned them to the restaurant. A friend of West reportedly paid the bill, but West was arrested and charged with assault and damage to property.

No pancakes were hurt.
