Timothy Holden and his friend Tre’Varis Jones had an unusual early morning craving for pancakes to celebrate the new year, but they got a whole lot more than they bargained for at a Denny’s restaurant in Michigan.

Holden and Jones dropped into Denny’s at around 4 a.m. on New Year’s Day to grab a Grand Slam breakfast. But what followed was more slam than grand.
“I just expected to go in there and get some pancakes,” Holden told WNEM.
Moments after ordering their food they noticed customers jumping out of their seats after hearing a sound that resembled the crack of a baseball bat.
That’s when all hell broke loose inside the restaurant. Jones caught the brawl on his smartphone and posted the video on Facebook and YouTube.
Meanwhile, Holden headed for the exit with Jones not too far behind. The pair escaped unharmed – but were still craving pancakes.
