There’s good news and bad news for Popeyes fans. First the bad news – time has run out on the chain’s popular $5 Bonafide Big Box. However, Popeyes is now offering a deal on the chain’s new variety of chicken tenders.

Popeyes new Southern Fair Chicken Tenders are marinated in Louisiana seasonings before being breaded in sweet cornmeal and are available as part of a meal that includes 3 chicken tenders, one regular side, a biscuit and dipping sauce, for $4.99.
In addition to the new chicken tenders, Popeyes is also offering a new Wild Honey Mustard dipping sauce flavor to go with the new tenders.
In terms of comparing the new Southern Fair Chicken Tender deal with the $5 Bonafide Big Box deal, well, there really isn’t a lot to compare. In terms of value for money, the $5 Bonafide Big Box wins hands down in both terms of size and variety – but the $4.99 Southern Fair Chicken Tender deal does hit the mark on affordability, and being a true meal.
