Del Taco will take their meat-free Beyond Tacos nationwide in the coming weeks after a successful test market in select locations last year. The news comes via a conference call held with investors earlier this week.

According to a transcript of the call, Del Taco plans to roll out the Beyond Taco and Beyond Avocado Taco some time in the second quarter of 2019. Which means Beyond Tacos could land as early as April, or as late as June.
Initially tested at select locations in Santa Monica and Culver City last September, Del Taco expanded the test to include locations in the Los Angeles Area and Greater San Diego Area in December 2018.
The Beyond Avocado Taco (vegan) features seasoned Beyond Meat plant-based crumbles, hand-sliced avocado, crisp lettuce and fresh diced tomatoes in a crunchy shell.
The Beyond Taco (vegetarian) consists of seasoned Beyond Meat plant-based crumbles, hand-grated cheddar cheese, crisp lettuce and fresh diced tomatoes in a crunchy shell.
While pricing details were not revealed during the conference call, Beyond Tacos sold for $2.49 each at test locations.
