Founded in 2015 by Melissa and Xin Wang, Jica Foods makes low carb jicama tortilla wraps – aka JicaWraps.

According to Jica Foods, Jicama is a root vegetable that has been part of Mexican and Central American diets for centuries. It tastes like a cross between an apple and a potato and originates from the Aztec word xicamatl.

Compared to one flour tortilla that has 100 calories and 15 carbs, one jicama tortilla made with jicama flour has just 8 calories and 2 carbs.

The company’s full product line includes JicaWraps, JicaSticks (Plain and Cilantro Lime) and Jica de Gallo (Mild, Hot and Fruit).

In The Tank

Melissa and Xin face five hungry Sharks in the tank, including Mark Cuban, Barbara Corcoran, Kevin O’Leary, Lorie Greiner, and guest Shark Gwyneth Paltrow.
