Shrimp enthusiasts can celebrate as Golden Chick, a Texas-based restaurant chain, reintroduces its popular Butterfly Shrimp across more than 220 locations, available from now until April 14, 2024.

Notably, this seasonal offering returns with a twist – the brand’s offering is not only competitively priced but also 30% larger than its previous versions.
Originally introduced in 2020 alongside its Southern-fried catfish, Golden Chick’s Butterfly Shrimp aimed to provide fans with a crispy and hearty seafood option without the heaviness typically associated with thickly breaded shrimp. Utilizing panko breading, the brand achieved a light and crispy crust that enhances the shrimp’s flavor.
In addition to Butterfly Shrimp, Golden Chick maintains its year-round offering of traditional Southern-fried catfish, sourced from US farms and hand-breaded with a spiced cornmeal batter.
This year, the brand presents four signature seafood combos, including:
- A six-piece Butterfly Shrimp combo for $7.99, featuring six Butterfly Shrimp, a Southern-style side, a fresh-baked Yeast roll, cocktail sauce, and a 30-ounce drink.
- Surf N’ Turf combo for $8.99, comprising two Golden Tenders®, three Butterfly Shrimp, a Southern-style side, a fresh-baked Yeast roll, Lotta Zing and cocktail sauce, and a 30-ounce drink.
- Catfish & Shrimp combo for $11.99, offering two Catfish filets, three Butterfly Shrimp, a Southern-style side, a fresh-baked Yeast roll, cocktail Sauce, and a 30-ounce drink.
- Three-piece Catfish meal for $11.99, featuring three Catfish filets, a Southern-style side, a fresh-baked Yeast roll, and a 30-ounce drink.
To enhance the seasonal experience, fans can add 20 Butterfly Shrimp to any order for $12 or three for $2.49. Additionally, the brand is promoting its popular legacy offer, the “Lucky 13” combo meal for $22.99, which includes 13 Golden Tenders®, four fresh-baked Yeast rolls, one family side, and three sauces or gravy.
