This initiative celebrates the creative vision of anime fans by introducing a new sauce, manga-inspired packaging, episodic shorts, and much more.

A Sauce that Packs a Punch
Anime enthusiasts can tantalize their taste buds with the all-new Savory Chili WcDonald’s Sauce, available for a limited time. This unique blend of ginger, garlic, soy, and a hint of chili flakes promises an energetic explosion of flavor, inspired by the dynamic spirit of beloved anime heroes. Whether paired with 10-piece “WcNuggets” or any menu favorite, this sauce is sure to delight.
Manga Packaging and Acky Bright’s Artistry
McDonald’s has collaborated with renowned Japanese manga artist Acky Bright to design custom WcDonald’s packaging, enhancing the dining experience with every meal. For a limited time, fans will receive exclusive manga-inspired packaging featuring WcDonald’s Crew characters, hand-drawn by Acky himself. Additionally, fans can scan the packaging code to access weekly digital manga drops starring a full cast of WcDonald’s characters.

The First-Ever Official WcDonald’s Anime
McDonald’s has joined forces with Studio Pierrot to produce the first official WcDonald’s anime series. Consisting of four episodic shorts, this anime explores the flavorful world of WcDonald’s, with each episode unfolding a new story centered around the iconic WcDonald’s Sauce and WcNuggets.
Starting Feb. 26 until March 18, a new short will be released every Monday alongside new manga on WcDonalds.com or by scanning the code on the WcDonald’s packaging. These shorts will pay homage to four prominent anime subgenres – Action, Romance, Mecha, and Fantasy.
- The Race to WcDonald’s (Feb. 26): Witness an epic rivalry as two heroes embark on a quest to reach WcDonald’s.
- Love from Across the Booth (Mar. 4): Discover that the perfect pairing extends beyond sauce and nuggets.
- WcNuggets Space Frontier 3000 (Mar. 11): Join a team of WcDonald’s pilots as they defend the last WcNugget against an ominous threat.
- The Wisdom of the Sauce (Mar. 18): Follow three women on a journey to unravel the mystery surrounding the elusive sauce before it disappears forever.
An Immersive Dining Experience at WcDonald’s
Drawing inspiration from the isekai anime subgenre, McDonald’s invites fans to experience the first-ever IRL WcDonald’s on March 9-10 in Los Angeles, CA. The WcDonald’s Immersive Dining Experience will transport guests into the WcDonald’s universe through 360 projection mapping and immersive tabletop projections inspired by the four WcDonald’s anime shorts. Guests can reserve their spot exclusively on OpenTable starting Feb. 28.
A Celebration of Anime Fan Art
McDonald’s is recognizing the creativity of its fans by honoring three up-and-coming anime artists with grants to support their future projects. Additionally, the artists will receive a one-on-one mentoring session with Acky Bright, further celebrating their contributions to the WcDonald’s universe.
