Candy brand Airheads is entering the chicken sandwich wars with a new fried chicken sandwich featuring a bun made with 100 percent Airheads candy.

The new Airheads Candy Chicken Sandy features fried chicken, coleslaw, spicy mayo, and pickles, all sandwiched between a bun made with sweet and sour Airheads Xtremes.
According to Craig Cuchra, VP of marketing for Perfetti Van Melle North America, on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 – National Fried Chicken Day – “the world will finally see what’s been missing in chicken.”
The Airheads Candy Chicken Sandy will be available to taste test at legendary Chicago restaurant Frances’ Deli & Brunchery on Tuesday, July 6 during lunch hour for dine-in only, while supplies last.
Frances’ Deli and Brunchery is located at 2552 N Clark St. Chicago, IL and the taste test opportunity will be offered from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., local time.
